CURB APPEAL

Since we moved into our house Pete and I decided it was lacking curb appeal. So we started to look around and think of the best ways to add some. That's when we saw this cute wooden arch(or you could call it a trellis, we never know what to call it) in someones yard and decided to copy them and start with that. We have done some basic landscaping and we are going to add a Honeysuckle vine that will climb up and cover the arch/trellis. We had a blast sanding and staining the wood. Pete did such a good job putting in all the cement for the base and making the thing stand up right. I was very impressed with his handy man capabilities. Especially for being an English teacher, maybe he should hang out and help in wood shop.

Here is the finished product. We think it will look nice when it's covered in a pretty flowering vine or something. It's a start right? It does add some nice structure to that side of the house. Next summer we want to paint the exterior of the house I'm still not quite sure how that is going to work but were doing it none the less.

LOVE IT! Don't worry, we have been in our house for over a year and we haven't even planted flowers in our flowerbed. You are WAY ahead of us!
