Infinitely Retarded System. So today Pete and I got to have a tax audit done by the I.R.S. or as we call them the infinitely retarded system. This was probably one of the worst experiences in our married life. We were of a select lucky chosen few for a "research study." Hooray for us! They took two and a half ours and interrogated us with questions about our 2006 taxes. What were these great important questions you ask? Well I will tell you some of our favorites. "Did you have any garage sales in 2006? Is your daughter an actress and does she make any income of her own? Did you sell things on ebay in 2006? Did you buy stuff from the internet in 2006? I mean honestly is this a JOKE? By the way the answer to all of their questions was NO!!! Peter had to take a day off for all of these really important questions and at the end of the meeting we ended up leaving without any resolution because we had to go home and get more proof off the internet that Pete was a student at UVSC in 2006 and paid for his books and tuition on his own and with pell grants. So we really had a great morning today and we are still waiting to hear back from our great federal government.
