Pretzel Art

or as hannah calls them "prentcels"
sounds almost exactly like pencils.
hannah has grown so much in the last
six months i can hardly stand it.
she knows all her letters and almost all
their sounds, which is huge for this little
girl who was struggling just a little bit at
the beginning of preschool in september.
she is so smart and growing way to fast. as i sat
looking at her today spelling her name out of pretzels i was wondering if i had spent enough time over the last four years sucking up every bit of cuteness she has to offer. it made me so sad and happy all at once. so i asked her "hannah?....when you're sixteen will you still be my friend?" because all i could picture was her turning into a teenager in the blink of an eye. and then she may hate me? or dislike me strongly, like most teenagers do their parents! and to my question she reassured me "YES" which made me very happy. to which i replied "good because if your not i won't let you learn how to drive!" and we both laughed!! how grown up of me right?? but you have to understand that hannah asks me almost every time we are in the car "mom?....when will i be big enough to drive?". so i thought that was a good threat.
